Unhealthy treats are not something you will see very often at our house. Not because we don’t think they are delicious, but because we think they are a little too delicious. My self-control is severely challenged by sugar. Best not to tempt me.
Tomorrow is the first day of Fall. I am mentally unprepared for this. Chocolate will help. More importantly, Jason’s 40th birthday is tomorrow (yay!!), and we will be bringing treats to share with our church family this Sunday in celebration. I saw these little acorns on from Chapel Hill to Chickenville this week and thought all the kids would absolutely love them. So cute.
So, I am ignoring the usual dietary guidelines around here and indulging in this fun, tasty project with the kiddos. I have eaten several and highly recommend them.
Things you will need:
bag of chocolate kisses
box of Mini Nilla Wafers
bag of pretzel sticks or mini chocolate chips
peanut butter or chocolate frosting
As you can see from the photo, add a dollop of peanut butter on the fat side of the kiss (or the chocolate frosting called for in the original recipe), and top with a Nilla Wafer. Add a tiny dot of peanut butter (or frosting) on the wafer, and top that with a bit of pretzel stick or a mini chocolate chip.

Oooo, door decor . . . I’ll have to think on that! Have you announced ahead of time the theme of the upcoming weeks so I can get a head start :)? Thanks for stopping by.
